Android Development History – Android, of course we are familiar with this word. Yes, one of the cool operating system or language operating system for this mobile/smartphone is prima donna OS today. Android is an operating system based on Linux. Initially, Google bought Android which at the time was still new in the software industry for mobile phones. To develop this operating system, Google formed the Open Handset Alliance which consists of 34 hardware, software and communications companies that include Google, HTC, Motorola, Intel, Qualcomm, T-Mobile and Nvidia.

From the very beginning, Android has been created until now and it has undergone a lot of development. What developments are taking place in this operating system? Here are the Android developments from time to time.

1. Android 1.1

Android Development History, Google released Android 1.1 on March 9, 2009. This Android has been complemented by aesthetic updates to apps, voice search, and alarm clocks. Send gmail emails and email notification.

  • Bluetooth 2.1.

5. Android 2.2 Froyo: frozen yogurt

Google released this Android on May 20, 2010 with different support:

  • Adobe Flash 10.1
  • 2 to 5 times faster performance and application speed capabilities
  • Integration of the V8 JavaScript engine used by Google Chrome
  • Install the application on the SD card
  • WiFi Hotspot facility, so it can be shared.
  • Automatic update of apps in Android Market.

6.Android 2.3 Ginger

This Android was released on December 6, 2010, with various capabilities.

  • Improve playing skills
  • Improved copy paste function
  • Redesign the user interface
  • Support VP8 and WebM video formats
  • Audio settings (echo, balance, bass boost, headphone virtualization)
  • Support for Near Field Communication (NFC) capability

7. Android 3.0 Honeycomb

This Android was launched on May 9, 2011 by Google.

  • Honeycomb has a very attractive 3D user interface and is specially offered for users of big screens like tablets.
  • The system supports large computing, making the tablet faster and easier to operate.
  • Multitasking tools allow users to access or terminate applications in different ways.

8. Android 4.0 ICS: Ice Cream Sandwich

Google released this android on October 19, 2011.

  • The home screen can adjust the size of the widget.
  • For increased security, it is accompanied by a face unlock feature.
  • There is a spell check feature on the keyboard, but it does not support Indonesian language yet
  • Equipped with mobile data feature where users can know the data usage, usage limits and find out which part is consuming the largest share.
  • Now the browser can be opened up to 16 tabs vertically and stacked.
  • Google+ features integrated with your gmail account for teleconferencing

9. Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

Google released Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on June 27, 2012.

  • Google Now is one of the best features of Jelly Bean.
  • Voice/Voice dictation facilities, but still only in English.

10. Android 4.4 KitKat

Kitkat was officially launched on October 31, 2013.

  • Lighter because it uses 16 percent less RAM than Jelly Bean
  • Voice command, with this feature we can use the mobile without having to touch it
